So it was back in Bangok again!! So weird that I'd been and done those 3 countries and it felt like 5 minutes since I'd been in Bangkok. More like 2 months. Mia had booked on to a tour of the islands, and so had a cab to pick her up from the airport. I tried to muscle in on it but he was trying to charge me silly money so I went and hopped on the bus. It would have been fine if the king's sister hadn't gone and died, therefore causing havic in the city. All the roads were shut and no cars could get anywhere. They chose not to tell us this until we'd bought the ticket and were on our way. Told us we'd have a 10 minute walk to get to the Koah San Road. Well I could barely walk coz of this stupid foot thing I had. Really had trouble with the whole walking, plus had even more bags as i kept picking things up along the way... 10 minutes? 40 minutes later, I arrive in Koah San Road. And noooooo, I didn't go the wrong way. There was a few of us.
Eventually bumped in to Mia who had the best news that there was an extra bed in her nice hotel she was staying in, so I went and settled in there. Cool. Such a good sleep. She'd already randomly bumped in to Jan but we were just too knackered to be out so we went to bed. We spent the next day shopping for stuff, and got some sunglasses for the orphans and sent them off. And then I said goodbye to Mia. BYE MIIAAAAAA! See you in Perth (am off to live with her for a few weeks in Perth in January).
Next few days I just milled about. Oh and I got in touch with saxomophone man and he fixed my sax for me. So along with the other 7Kg of Christmas I sent it home. Happy Christmas!!I love Bangkok now. Think it's when you're familiar with somewhere as well but I just love the bustle. And met up with Jan for a fun night out. She'd had a great time in Cambodia and we swapped stories. Actually she ended up travelling with Dave. Remember I told you to remember him. Met him in Saigon. Anyway we got chatted up by a couple of idiots who wouldn't leave us alone. Quite literally. We didn't act too interested when they chatted to us, and even made a swift exit upstairs slaiming we were off to play pool. But then we got followed. In the end I just told him to 'take it as a NO'. Not usually quite so blunt but it was ridiculous. So the next day we nursed sore heads and went for ice cream. My last night in Bangkok, as I was moving on the next day.
