Week 20 - A night out in Phnom Penh

Phnom Penh is the capital city of Cambodia. So we went to check out the night life one night. This was actually the wknd in between while we were at the orphanage. We went in to town on a shared 'taxi', which is like a 7 seater, and they try piling at least 15 people in it. At least. And we met John and Kathy (the people who run New Hope) and went to church with them. I haven't actually managed to get myself to a church on my travels as yet so it was really nice.
And then after that we headed out for some food. It was Lorraine's graduation day. She was meant to be at her ceremony but chose to do the project instead so she was needing some graduation attention which we most definitely gave her. Phnom Penh nightlife is cool. And one bar we walked into, there was Dave (remember I told you to remember him in Saigon), sitting with his pal and randomly with another guy that we met back in Laos. All travellers together. And the rather hilarious sign in the toilets. Have I explained the 'bum blaster' to you yet? I can't remember. Surprised I haven't written a poem about it... anyway it's like a hose and sits behind the loo so when you finish up what you've been doing on the loo, you can just blast your bum with water and then it's minimal wiping all the way. So I thought this sign was particularly amusing.
So after our wknd it was then back to the orphanage...
