HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MEEEEE!!!!!!!
I wasn't actually looking forward to my birthday too much to be honest. I loved being 25, it was a cool age and was pretty devastated at turning 26. But in the morning it all changed and I loved being 26! Sarah made my birthday such a treat and i'll never forget it. Thank you Sarah xxxxx
We obviously started with birthday breakfast. Our hotel put on some sort of spread so we had a birthday bite to eat and then I was presented with lots of birthday cards and birthday pressies that were sent from home. I didn't expect all of that so was really nice. Thank you everyone :) I am writing about the presents I bought with the money on the next page.
We had a lot to fit in as it was also Sarah's last day. SO we got a birthday tuk tuk and went to birthdy Dusit Zoo!! It was really birthday hot but we made our way round it, visiting the birthday lions, birthday monkeys (I think Sarah was planning on stealing one), birthday zebras, birthday giraffes, birthday elephants, birthday parrots, birthday snakes, birthday frogs, birthday crocs, birthday turtles and then there was a short show with a bunch of birthday african men doing bendy and balancing things. Oooo and we got the nicest birthday chicken as well. Birthday YUM!
After a couple of hours we got in to an air conditioned birthday taxi and headed to the birthday Koah San Road for some serious birthday shopping. Lots of birthday shopping. And some more birthday shopping. After all the birthday shopping and bartering we headed back to the hotel. There was no time for any rest as I was meeting my birthday family on skype! So I got ready, took a call from LAAAUUURRRAAAAAAA as she called to say happy birthday - thanks Laura!! Love you! xxx and then headed downstairs for some birthday skype. It was so nice to talk to everyone and thank you for all getting together. There was a serious storm going on so the connection wasn't great and I didn't get to see you all which I was really gutted about but it was great to talk to you. I'm sure you all looked cool in your birthday party hats and stuff :)
Then it was time for our birthday evening dinner cruise along the birthday river in a traditional thai rice birthday boat. Sarah treated me for my bday pressie. It was such a lovely birthday evening. We got on the boat (it had stopped monsooning by now which was good!) and sat down and gradually ate our birthday body weight in rice, curry, veg, crackers, chicken, desert, and had some nice wine to wash it all down with as well. All the birthday buildings were lit up and we had a menu thing to tell us what we were passing. There was traditional thai music with traditional thai dancing by beautifully dressed woman. The out of the birthday blue we stopped under a birthday bridge and all the lights went out. All the waiters came out with a desert with candles and sang happy birthday to me!! YAY! Everyone else on the boat joined in as well. They then apologised and said that I couldn't actually keep the desert so took it away after I'd made my birthday wish, haha.
The birthday boat journey lasted about 2 hours and then we were dropped off and driven back to Koah San Road where we had a couple of birthday cocktails.
A truly great birthday, I had such a cool day x
PS - I can't get that big stupid gap in the pictures to close up, it's so annoying. It's not me it just isn't saving it when I try and close it up. Just so you know. I'm aware of the stupid big gap!
